Food Collection

                                            

         On 14 July 2013 ,Leos from SMK Sungai Tapang and SMK Gapor Stampin attended the food collection at Satok Market,which is also the joint project with Sponsoring Lions Club,Lions Club of SMK Kota Sentosa. Leos arrived the market by 8 pm and started to collect the food such as vegetables and fruits from the sellers.

        Leos worked cooperately and finished collecting the food at 9.30am.All the food collected are distributed to Lion Nursing Home Society for the Deaf Salvation Army and Sarawak Hun Nam Siang Tang.

        Leos were very happy to do this activity as it is very meaningful. All the leos were looking forward for the next food collection.

Zone Meeting

On 13 July 2013, the Region 1 1^st Combined Zone Meeting for fiscal year 2013-2014 was held in Home Stay Hotel. All the Lions Clubs and Leo Clubs from region 1 attended the meeting.

Region 1 Chairperson, Lion Chong Nam Fah started the meeting after everyone having the meal. The meeting went very smoothly as all the Lions and Leos responded very actively.

Besides, Leos used this opportunity to exchange ideas with Lions and know more Leos. They also knew more about their responsibilities by noting down the important points from region chairperson’s and zone chairpersons’ speeches.

Lastly,the meeting ended at 9.15pm. All the Lions and Leos enjoyed the dinner provided and the process of meeting.

Leo Garden

                     On the 13^th July 2013, Leo Club of SMK Sungai Tapang beautified the Leo garden. The project started at 8a.m. sharp and ended at 9.30a.m. There were 13 Leos participated in this project. Through this project,we learnt to be cooperate and felt very happy to make the leo garden clean and tidy.

Leading by our president, Leo Ivy Chew, we cleaned the garden by picking up the dead leaves, cutting the long grass, cleaning the mud in the garden and the drains and trimming the plants. Our faculty advisor, Teacher Hii Yii Chin also gave some advices to us so that we can do the works more effectively. We extremely appreciate the work done by our Leos as they really support us from the beginning. The project went smoothly and successfully without any conflicts.

Orientation for 3 key officers

On 7 July 2013,there was an orientation for 3 key officers organized by Region 1 Chairperson,Lion Chong Nam Fah. Key officers of Leo Club of SMK Sungai Tapang and Leo Club of SMK Gapor Stampin attended this activity.

This activity was aimed to let the 3 key officers knowing more on their responsibilities and to learn leading skills.Region 1 Chairperson,Lion Chong shared his experiences and we had learnt the importance of socializing and leading.

Besides,Lion Chong also asked past president,Leo Melvis Lai and past secretary,Leo Agnes Yeo from Leo Club Of SMK Sungai Tapang to share their experiences and to give some advices.

Lastly,the activity ended at about 4.30 p.m. Leos felt extremely glad to learn new things through this activity.In this event,we also felt appreciated because we had been chosen to be the 3 key officers for new fiscal year.We would do our best to make it an indeed successful and meaningful year.

Food Donation

           On 30 June 2013, Leo Club of SMK Sungai Tapang had donated food to support the activity of Charity Sale & Food Fair. Leos gave their fully supports by donating rice packs, canned food, biscuits, instant noodles, and healthy drinks.

We started to collect food a week before the activity to make sure more students and Leos from SMK Sungai Tapang could involve in this activity.Result of this,we got 20 packs of biscuits,3 packs of rice packs and more.

           After collecting all the food, some leos were leaded by president, leo Ivy Chew to send the food to the venue which food fair held. All the leos felt very happy to support and give helps in this meaningful event. They also hoped that  activity like this can be held again.
