On 17 February to
21 February 2014, Leo Club of SMK Sungai Tapang had held a fund raising
activity to help the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society.
We helped to sell
the Gold Ribbon Pin (product made by SCCS) in the school. On those 5 weekdays,
we used to sell 200 gold ribbons and finally raised the fund up to RM2000. Not
only students from our school showed their supports, the teachers and students’
parents also bought the pin as their blessings to the children with cancer.
Last but not
least, we were so surprised that we could raise such a big amount of fund
during the short 5 days. We would like to thank everyone who gave their love
and cares to the cancer children and we are looking forward to organise more
fund raising activities to help more people. Lastly, let me mention about the
Gold Ribbon Pin. The gold colour symbolized the precious nature of all children
and the golden flame of hope that burns brightly for childhood cancer patients,
survivors, families and caregivers.
